Poppy's Diary 2009:

13th March 2009

This is our first update of 2009, so we should start really by saying Happy New Year!

Last year’s babies are all happily settled in their homes all apart from Maddie who is happily settled in our home! We have had updates to say that everyone is doing well.

We were sad to see Ollie and Bailey in need of a new home but they are now settled in with Nicky and Gavin in Bristol, Nicky is a professional photographer so we hope to have some lovely new photos of them in the near future.

This month saw Archie, Bailey and Toby turn five, which is quite scary as it doesn’t seem that long since they were being born!

The girls are all well, Daisy is currently having second lease of life, she is running round and playing with Maddie and any toy she can get her paws on, it was a bit of a shock to realise she could still move that fast!

Maddie attended her first TICA show in December and she had a great day, enjoyed being carried around all day and ended her day as Best British Shorthair Kitten in Show, which came as a bit of a shock as there were some gorgeous Brits there! She was an absolute little star, we stayed over for the dinner and she spent the night asleep on the bed!

Poppy continues to be mummy’s girl as ever and is never far from my lap, she is becoming quite demanding when she wants attention and no matter what I’m doing if she wants cuddles she makes sure she gets them, she’s very sweet but can be very stubborn when she wants to be!

Evie is finally starting to calm down a little, which considering she’s nearly four it’s about time! I think she has found having a baby sister a bit of a struggle as she’s not the baby anymore although she seems to be getting used to it now and just needs lots of extra cuddles (two laps into four cats doesn’t always go well!)

Maddie is like a mini Poppy, she is so like her it’s unbelievable, the same poses, same soppy temperament and she glue’s herself to me so much that her nickname is Velcro! She is such a little star and such a sweet girl, I’m so pleased with her, she was well worth the very long wait.
